Chapala Area Culture

Our cultural section includes three broad areas that are inextricably linked -- modern Mexican culture, history, and prehistory. The modern culture is shaped by past influences, not least among them the beliefs and practices of the indigenous peoples.

We will gradually add new articles on each of these subjects, as we explore Lake Chapala's rich heritage, and the cultural influences from the surrounding areas.
