Biographical Sketches

It is impossible to treat Lake Chapala's history as distinct from Mexican history. And so to it is impossible to understand that history without knowing something about the main players, the Mexican leaders and politicians, artists and industrialists of national importance -- whether they had any direct connection to the Chapala area or not.

We will also include here information on the people who lived here at Lakeside and influenced the local culture and history, both Mexican and expatriate.
